Annual Camps at GK

Our camp programs have a great reputation at GK. We review and receive feedback on our camp providers every year to ensure they are providing our students with the best experiences on offer.

As well as being awesome fun, camps teach students independence and often incorporate an outdoor education and integrated curriculum focus. For example, the Phillip Island Camp incorporates a great range of Australian wildlife experiences for students. This includes guided tours of the Koala Conservation Centre and the Nobbies, pelican feeding at San Remo and a visit to the Penguin Parade, in addition to outdoor education rotations such as low ropes courses, archery, frisbee golf and trampolining.

The Annual Camp Program at GK is as follows:

Preps: An 8am breakfast at school in their PJ's.

Grade 1: An out of uniform, in school activity day.

Grade 2: Day excursion to Fern Gully Camp where students get to see what a camp looks like and they take part in a rotation of camp activities.

Grade 3/4: 3 day camp at alternative locations

Grade 5/6: 3 day camp  at alternative locations

Parents have an opportunity to volunteer as helpers on camps and their participation is always greatly appreciated.

Wildlife experiences with Australian native animals are a common feature of our camps.

Low ropes course are part of a wide range of outdoor education activities on camps.
